The Larchmont
Junior Soccer Leagues travel program currently has more than 400
children from the ages of 8 through high school, playing on more than
30 teams. We are affiliated with the Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL)
and the Eastern New York Region of the United States Youth Soccer Association
(ENYYSA).
The travel program is managed by volunteers who serve on a Travel Committee
(see Travel
Program Personnel). Generally, teams are coached and managed by parent
volunteers with assistance from professional trainers.
Larchmont travel soccer teams play in the Fall and Spring. The seasons
are ten games long and the games are played on Sundays. The teams play
against teams from other towns in the Westchester area. Away games may
require travel up to approximately one hour away. The fall season runs
from approximately the beginning of September through mid-November. The
spring season begins in late March or early April and continues through
the middle or end of June. (See the Westchester
Youth Soccer League Website for schedule information for the current
season.) Most teams also go to holiday tournaments in-season and require
indoor training and/or tournaments during the winter.
